Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of Roberta Jordan (nee Ludwig) announce her passing on Monday April, 21, 2025, at the age of 79 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
A loved wife, mother and grandmother, Roberta was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 12, 1945. She attended school at Milwaukee Public Schools and graduated from Bay View High School, Class of 1963.
While in her senior year of high school she went out with a friend for a night at George Devine's Million Dollar Ballroom, where she met the love of her life, Ellis Dale in the fall of 1962. Roberta graduated from Bay View in the winter of 1962 and soon after graduating, Roberta married Ellis and became a proud sailor's wife on April 6, 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With this union, Roberta headed to the East Coast, residing in Connecticut and Virginia while awaiting for Ellis' return from the Atlantic Fleet.
Following Ellis' discharge from the United States Navy, they returned to Southeastern Wisconsin where they lived in Cudahy and Greenfield, before moving to Vernon, Wisconsin in 1977 to the home they built to live out their dreams. They resided in Vernon, raising their family until their passing this past year.
Roberta is survived by her children Dale (Amy) of Urich, Missouri, Lucas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Amanda (Brian) of Franklin, Wisconsin, her sister Donna Mae Hildahl and her most prized treasures, grandsons Morgan Dean and Cole Ellis.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Edward Ludwig, her mother and father-in-law, Harold and Mamie Jordan and the love of her life, her husband of 61 years, Ellis Dale Jordan.
Services will be held for Roberta at Rural Home Cemetery, Big Bend, WI on Monday April 28, 2025 at 11am.
