Vita, Rocco A. Age 79, of New Berlin passed peacefully on July 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 14, 1932, in Hurley, WI. Son of the late Maria (DeFranco) and Clemente Vita. On August 11, 1956, he married Mary Dungan in Superior, WI. Together they had six children. Mr. Vita graduated from the University of WI-Superior in June of 1956. He then went on to graduate school and began his teaching career in Lake Mills, WI. He retired from teaching at Muskego High School in 1990, after thirty four years in the classroom. He was an avid athlete, coaching football for twenty two years as well as basketball, golf and track. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (Dungan) Vita, children Rocco (Sherry) Vita, Catherine (James) Whittaker, Toni (Frank) Wotnoske, Thomas (Linda) Vita, Paul (Lynne) Vita and Patti Lund, grandchildren Thomas (Kelly) Vita, Derrick Vita, Kelsey, Nick, and Keri Whittaker and Jake Wotnoske. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Caid Vita as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brothers, Joe, Dominic and Tony and granddaughter, Amber Lund. The family would like to thank Dr. Kathryn Bylow and the staff at the Froedtert Cancer Center who worked to keep Rocco happy and active for the past eight years.Visitation:Visitation beginning at 10:00 AMService:Services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 12700 W.
