NEW BERLIN - Age 80. At peace on November 12, 2024.
Loving father of Meghan Lane and Jason (Nicole) Gillette, proud grandfather of Sarah, Sean, Laura and Ryan, and dear brother of Ellen Kroepel. Further survived by extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann, his father Harold Gillette and his mother Gertrude (nee Vetter) Gillette.
Ron was the co-founder of first National Poetry Slam in Chicago (1980), published author and poet. He was passionate about jazz music, a voracious reader and loved canine companions. Ron's legacy lives on through his children and his grandchildren.
