RoseMary C. Pekrul (nee Hawley), age 98, passed away on July 2, 2026.

Born on December 18, 1927, to Dorothy (nee Bradley) Hawley and Edward Herbert Hawley.  She married the love of her life, William Mertin Pekrul, on May 29, 1947.  William lovingly referred to her as Rosie for 78 wonderful years.

As an only child, Mother always dreamed of having a large family.  RoseMary and William (Bill) went on to raise six girls and five boys in a house that William built after WWII.  The family continues to grow with 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren (who called her Grandma Chocolate).  RoseMary had many passions, including baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, playing the organ, gardening, and of course feeding wildlife in her yard.  RoseMary’s faith was very strong, and praying the rosary was something she enjoyed daily.

A funeral service for RoseMary will be held at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W Janesville Rd, Hales Corners, WI, 53130, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.  Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 noon, with a service to follow at 12 noon.  RoseMary will be interred at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy, WI.
