Age 79. Found peace November 1, 2018 after a long struggle with diabetes and vascular disease. Loving husband of Valerie (nee Knippel) for 53 years. Loving father of Shelly McClellan and Quinn (Myriam) McClellan. Proud grandpa of Collin, Caitlyn, Jessica, Brittany and Aaron. Russ was preceded in death by his parents Frank & Rose, four brothers and three sisters. Further survived by his sister-in-law Linda McClellan, other relatives and friends. Russ served our country in the Navy, was a sheet metal worker for 35 years, a Shriner, and was co-owner of Krug & McClellan Mech. Co. He also owned and operated McClellans Inn (St. Martins) in Franklin during the years of 1971 and 1972. Memorial gathering at Hartson Funeral Home on Sat., Nov. 10th from 11 AM to 1 PM. Celebration of Life 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Diabetes or Alzheimer's Association.
