Zeilstra, Sally V. Born as Goldie Verena Schiltz died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the age of 90 due to complications of old age. She died peacefully at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee surrounded by family and friends. As Sally generously donated her body to the Wisconsin Medical College, there will be no viewing, but friends and family are encouraged to spend some remembrance time in her honor at the funeral home starting at 12:30 PM. Sally was born in Scott Township in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin on April 14, 1923 and married her husband, Fred Zeilstra, Sr. on November 8, 1941 in Milwaukee. They had two children, Gloria and Fred Jr. They were married until the time of her husband's death on March 26, 2003. She and her husband resided in Hales Corners for 49 years. Sally was active in her church and held numerous part-time jobs within the area, but will be best remembered as a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother, as well as an excellent homemaker and exceptional cook. After her husband's death, she moved to the Harbour Village retirement community in Greendale where she spent 9 happy years and no longer had to worry about the burdens of home ownership. Sally is survived by her daughter, Gloria Brinkmeier of Hales Corners; her son, Fred Zeilstra Jr. of Blue Springs, Missouri; three grandchildren, Todd Brinkmeier of San Ramon California, Daniel Zeilstra of Blue Springs, Missouri and Kelly Zeilstra of Sedalia, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Zeilstra, Sr. and she was the last survivor of eight brothers and sisters.Service:A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, Wisconsin where Pastor Michael Fazio of Whitnall Park Lutheran Church will be officiating.
