Sal passed away peacefully on October 20th, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply.

He was 87 years old and is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jeanne; his son, Sal (Kelly); and his daughters, Gina (Colin) and Angela De Ianni (David Sackerson).

Sal was the cherished grandfather of Emilio, Carlo and Mario De Ianni; Sophia and Carmen Rollins; and Lucy, Charlotte and Ira Sackerson for whom he served as nanny/chauffeur for 17 years.

He is further survived by his sister, Marguerite De Ianni; his nieces, Meghan (Matt) Bisi and Erika Nola De Ianni; and his great-nephew, Alex Bisi.

Sal will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family: Patrick Baines, Terrence Wotruba, Joelle (Robert) Gregorcich, James (Donna) Hansen, Mary Beth (Wes) Cameron and Ellen (Jerry) Karpowicz; his nephews, Arthur (Rhonda) Baines, Dan (Laura) Baines, James (Kassidi) Hansen, William (Lauren) Hansen, Joel (Daphne) Wotruba and Joseph Karpowicz; and his nieces, Tina (Donald) Parks, Lauren (Alex) Holznienkemper, Julie (Kurt) Eccles and Courtney (Kyle) Meeks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Anna De Ianni, and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Baines and Jacqueline Wotruba.

To those who knew him, Sal was an unforgettable character. Deeply loved by his family and adored by all of his animals, he leaves behind memories that will be treasured always. He will be greatly missed.
