Obituary

Samuel Frederick Klauser, age 97 of Muskego, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023.

Sam was a WWII Veteran, serving in the South Pacific Islands 1942-1945 and wounded twice in battle. He was a life member of the Oak Creek American Legion Post #434 and Windlake V.F.W. Post #8343. Sam was also a life member of the Cudahy Gun Club, Milwaukee Gun Club, Waukesha Gun Club, Lakeview Rod & Gun Club and ATA Amateur Trapshooting Association.

Sam and his wife were the owners & operators of the Hunter's Nest Bar & Lakeview Trap & Sport Club. Sam's Hobbies were hunting, fishing and trapshooting. In 1969, Sam and his wife Loreen won "Husband & Wife World Trapshooting Championship" in Vandalia, Ohio.

Sam is survived by his wife, Loreen L. Klauser, daughter, Sandy (Joseph) Higgs, granddaughter, Charleen Hendricks and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Sam Klauser, sister, Lois (Richard) Legler and brother, James (Shirley) Klauser.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, July 28, 2023, at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, WI. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 10:00 am - 12:45 pm at the funeral home. Military Honors will be accorded following the service at the funeral home.

Entombment will take place at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 29 at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
