(Nee Sauerbier). Passed away March 2nd while surrounded by family and friends.Born on October 22, 1943. Daughter to (the late) Emil & Alyce Sauerbier. Survived by her loving husband of 55 yrs, Dennis, children: Amy (Kent) Billingsley, Dennis (Krista), and Mark (Jessica). Beloved sister to Christine (Mike) Purpero. Also survived by her 5 beautiful grandchildren: Aaron, Ashley, Amanda, Rachael, Tyler: and 2 step-grandchildren, Cassie and Brady. Great-grandmother to Weston. Dear aunt to Vince, Tina and Jessica. Wonderful friends to John Zajakowski and Karen & Jeff Irvine.Sandy (mom) will be forever remembered for her laughter and ability to be silly at any given time. She developed many life-long friendships while spending time up at Linda's (Green Lake) and her Roma's family.Mom enjoyed the simple things in life, such as family gatherings, fishing and enjoying the wildlife outside her back door. She also taught people around her that it was fun to laugh, even when you shouldn't.After 25+ years in the St. Francis and Muskego/Norway School Districts, Sandy decided to retire in 2001, with various accreditations and certificates of honor.Sandy will be greatly missed by many as her time on earth was cut short.Sandy's passing was unexpected and quick. And the family would like to sincerely thank the entire Critical Care Team at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who provided mom with care and compassion during her short stay. Sandy was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, which is a result of scleroderma.
