Sandra "Sandy" Mae Tokarski (nee Pincolic) died peacefully on May 24, 2024 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI, at the age of 65.
Sandy was born to June (nee Thomas) and Peter Pincolic on May 12, 1959 and just celebrated her 65th birthday and Mother's Day with many visitors. She met Steve Edward Tokarski at the age of 10 in school at Doerfler Elementary. Their love blossomed and they exchanged wedding vows on October 27, 1979.
Sandy worked multiple professional jobs in downtown Milwaukee, WI, throughout her career. As a survivor of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, she completed two walking marathons in Alaska and Florida to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, because she had a passion and empathy to help other people in need. Despite years of health challenges, she was the bravest, most courageous fighter whose sense of humor was never dulled.
Sandy skillfully crafted beautiful quilts for loved ones. Her family dinners provided comfort food to her grown kids at Sunday dinners where devices were put away and conversations and teasing were plenty. She had a green thumb, enjoyed laughing with her grandkids, telling them stories, and joking with anyone.
Sandy leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Steve, her children, April Tokarski, Steven (Samantha) Tokarski and Leslie Tuzee, her beloved grandchildren: Allen, Allison, Brylee, Delanee, Reid and Tess, siblings: Anthony Pincolic, Lawrence Pincolic, Susan Pincolic (Dave Pearson), Sally (Kevin) Kelly, Thomas Pincolic, John (Chris) Pincolic, Debra Van Hoosen and many nieces, nephews, friends and protector dog, Knight. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-brother, Peter Pincolic.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 before the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. at Hartson Funeral Home located at 11111 West Janesville Road in Hales Corners, WI. Burial will take place immediately following at Arlington Park Cemetery at 4141 S. 27th St., Milwaukee, WI.
