Of Hales Corners, WI. Born October 22, 1942, born to Eternal Life September 19, 2017. Survived by wife Laura, son James "Jim", daughter Jennifer, brother Eugene, cousins Robert Sands and Sandra Zimmerman, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1970 and in the 128th Air Refueling Wing as an In-Flight Refueler and instructor on the KC-97 and KC-135 from 1970-2000. Veteran of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Kosovo. He served the Village of Hales Corners as the president of the Fourth of July committee for many years, receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award for his volunteerism. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting in the great Northwoods, Nascar, spending time with his family, and enjoyed a good game of Tonka or Sheepshead and a brandy old fashioned sweet. He will be sorrowfully missed by his family and friends. A visitation will be held Wednesday October 11th at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners 53130, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial to be held the following day at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorials Cemetery.
