Sharon Besch, age 63, passed away on Christmas Eve surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born April 20, 1962, to Roy and Rose Besch, in Milwaukee, Sharon was the second youngest of six beloved siblings, and she was fiercely dedicated to her family. Her devotion to her two sons, Matthew and Jason, was matched only by her love for her grandchildren, Chase, Lily and Violet. Sharon happily shared the past 30+ years with her soulmate, Jeff, and the two were married in 2025.
Sharon recently retired from Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center after proudly serving America's Veterans for more than 23 years.
She loved fishing and laughing, and had the unique gift of making everyone who came into contact with her feel loved. Sharon was one-of-a-kind and will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, but especially by her husband, Jeff Hardy, sons, Matthew Besch (Liz Enders), and Jason Smith (Christine Kasprzak); grandchildren, Chase, Liliana, Violet, Lucas, Aurora, Noah and Orion; brothers Roy Besch (Kathy) and Richard Besch, sister/best friend Susan Wagner (Russ); nephews, Steven Wagner (Kristy), Tony Besch (Amanda Kachikis); great nephews, Owen and Eli, her snuggly companion, Snowball, and countless other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy, mother, Rose, sister, Irene, brother, Robert, and son, Justin.
Sharon's life will celebrated with a gathering at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners, WI 53130, on Monday, January 5, 2026. Visitation from 5pm to 7pm with a service to follow.
