Sharon Kathleen Krenke (nee Klinzing) born on September 28, 1937, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family.
A resident of Muskego, Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, strength and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her.
Sharon was the beloved wife of Jim Krenke, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Jim was a devoted and loving husband who faithfully stood by Sharon’s side through every joy and every challenge. Their marriage was a beautiful example of unwavering commitment, faith, and unconditional love. Together they built a family rooted in kindness, laughter, and cherished traditions, creating a legacy that will continue through the generations they loved so dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband Jim, her children, Gary, Judith (Randy), and Dan (Lori). Her cherished grandchildren, Gina (Evan), Janel (Alex) Randy Jr., Nicholas (Laura) Melissa (Antonio), and Jessica (Jackson). Her beloved great-grandchildren, Makayla, Savannah, Logan, Caden, Tason, Maelyn, Aubrey, Jayden, and Lillian, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Knapp and her brother James Klinzing (Cheryl).
Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Resop, Kathy’s fiancé, Rick Bochek, her sister Mary Sue Coffey, and her brother in-law Cliff Knapp.
Sharon graduated from Pius XI High School and worked for many years at Chainbelt Company. She was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and kind heart.
Family was the center of Sharon’s life. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and everyone she held dear. Sharon and Jim shared many wonderful adventures together, enjoying boating on Lake Winnebago, Caping at Nature’s Villa Campground for 35 years, and spending 20 years as snowbirds in Naples and Lake Wales, Florida.
Her family will forever cherish the traditions and memories she created -yearly trips to Florida, countless card games she loved to play and the new ones she was always eager to teach, watching The Sound of Music while sharing chips and dip, enjoying butter pecan ice cream, fun weekends swimming, spending sunny days at the beach, and taking turns pushing Grandma on her raft around the lake at Nature’s Villa Campground. She was the biggest fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers and Green Bay Packers. Whether gathered around the card table, relaxing by the water, or simply enjoying one another’s company, Sharon had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved, welcomed and important. Her kindness, quiet strength, warm smile and unwavering love for her family touched every generation. The traditions she created and the memories she leaves behind will continue to bring comfort, laughter, and love to her family for generations to come.
Sharon had a passion for flowers and gardening and took great pride in decorating every home she lived in, making each one warm and welcoming. She remained mentally sharp, intellectually curious, and remarkably strong throughout her life. Even while facing numerous health challenges, Sharon never complained. Instead, she focused on caring for those around her, always putting her family first and offering love, wisdom, and encouragement to everyone she knew. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and showed her family through her actions, the true meaning of strength, grace, and unconditional love.
More than anything, Sharon will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her greatest joy was simply being surrounded by the people she loved.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful memories and meaningful time Sharon spent at Stoney Creek Adult Community, which she was proud to call home. They are especially grateful to the many residents and everyone at Stoney Creek who offered Sharon friendship, prayers, well-wishes, and kindness through out her time there. They also sincerely thank the hospice team for the compassionate, respectful, and attentive care during her final days. Finally, the family is deeply thankful to everyone who has shared their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sharon’s honor to the Hearing Health Foundation, The National Association of the Deaf, The Hearing Loss Association of American, or a charity of your choice.
Sharon’s legacy of love, strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will be forever treasured by all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared , the traditions she created, and the countless memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, extended family, and friends for generations to come.

There will be a Visitation at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Avenue in Hales Corners, Wisconsin on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. We will meet at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin on Thursday, August 20,2026 at 1:45 PM for inurnment.
