Shirley Mae (Gish) Metz
Born July 26, 1934. Died August 26, 2024, at the age of 90.
She is survived by Bernard, her husband of 58 years, children David (Linda) Straw, Larry (Penny) Straw, Terry (Paul) Beyerl, Sharon Straw and William (Lori) Straw, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters Margaret Stansbury and Marion Syme, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was born in Crandon, WI and moved to the Milwaukee area as a teenager where she raised her loving family. Shirley lived for the thrill of the perfect thrifted find and never failed to provide remarkable love and support for her family. Despite passing of complications from a stroke, she is remembered as an exceptionally strong-willed and adoring woman until the end.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm ,Wednesday September 4th, 2024 at Hartson Funeral Home in Hales Corners, WI.
Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 pm.
