Our beloved husband and father, Steve Miller, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
A man of great compassion, integrity, and always ready to help those in need, Steve loved his family fiercely. His quirky sense of humor brought much laughter and eye-rolling, and his enjoyment of sketching and painting helped relieve stress and tapped into his tremendous creativity. Steve loved to build model cars, dabble in investment trading, and was constantly on the lookout for scrap metal to strip and recycle.
Many hours were spent repairing the family cars, and thanks to YouTube his skills were impressive. Several houses benefited from his remodeling efforts, which brought him a sense of great accomplishment and pride.
After graduating from Wheaton Graduate School on a Chuck Colson scholarship, Steve dedicated 30 years to working in the mental health field, impacting countless lives.
Always available to volunteer in the community and church, Steve led Celebrate Recovery, coached Upwards Basketball, worked with former inmates, and served on the Africa Care Team at Elmbrook Church for several years. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
Steve is survived by his wife, Margaret, his sons, Luke and Aaron, daughter-in-law Sami, his sister, Debbie Kartheiser and numerous nephews, nieces, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held at Hartson Funeral Home in Hales Corners, Wisconsin on Friday, January 28th, 2022 between 5:00-6:30 pm, with a Celebration of Life service at 6:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to support two causes that were close to Steve's heart:
