(nee Werner) of Greenfield, died Wednesday, July 6th, 2016 at the age of 74, a culmination of a battle with the complications of Diabetes and Alzheimer's.  She is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Michael, son James (Renee), daughter Christine, grandson Mason James, and brother Michael Werner. Further survived by other relatives, friends, and her church community.  Susan graduated from Washington High School in 1960, and from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1965.  She taught in the West Allis school system through 1970 and was director of Christian Education at Emanuel United Church of Christ, in Hales Corners, for many years.  In the year 2000, she was recognized as a commissioned minister of Christian education by the Wisconsin conference of the United Church of Christ.  Following her retirement in 2005, she became a part-time member of the staff at Park's Edge pre-school in Hales Corners, where she served for a number of years.  A visitation will be held on Thursday July 21st from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. at Emanuel United Church of Christ at 10627 W. Forest Home Ave. Hales Corners, WI 53130, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Emanuel United Church of Christ, Hales Corners appreciated.
