Thaddeus "Ted" Jakubowski, 77, born to eternal life November 25, 2014.  Loving husband of Kathy, dear father of Jane (Brian) Koss, Mary (Phil) Fritsch, and David (Jennifer Incramona) Jakubowski, proud grandfather of Avery, Steven, Nora, and Libby, cherished brother of Genevieve (Jerry) Lowery and Lucy (Rod) Smith, and further survived by extended family and many friends.  Preceded in death by a sister, Helen Nuernberg.  Visitation at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community. 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 from 12 Noon until 1:45 P.M.  Memorial Mass at 2 P.M.  Ted would like to thank all the blood donors who kept him alive and Dr. Chitambar and his staff at the Cancer Center at Froedtert Hospital.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ted's name may be directed to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.Ted Jakubowski was born in Poland in 1937 and lived through WWII and the German occupation.  He shared stories of that time with his family, and although it was a frightening time, he described it with a sense of adventure.  His family came to America when he was 10 years old and settled in Milwaukee.  He attended South Division High School, and despite not knowing English prior to arriving here, graduated in 3 years.  He also started a chess club and played the violin.  He took up ballroom dancing and was an excellent dancer, along with his wife, Kathy.  He was an avid tennis player and golfer.  After working for Allen Bradley for over 30 years, he retired and spent many winters in Gulf Shores, AL with Kathy.  There they met many wonderful friends.  When he was stopped from activities due to illness, he took up new hobbies.  He loved to paint and cook.  Ted will be deeply missed, but we know his spirit is still alive!
