Thomas William Grams,80, took his final breath surrounded by family in his home October 7, 2025, in Wind Lake, Wisconsin.
Tom is survived by his wife, Pat; son, Tim Grams; and daughters, Tammy (Joe) Makhlouf, Kristi (Steve) Janowiak and Stephanie (Mark) Knoedler; grandchildren Ben, Brett and Amira Makhlouf, Sam and Addie Janowiak, and Aine and Amelia Knoedler; sisters Carol Kruse and Joyce (Tim) Casey; and brother, John (Jeanne) Grams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Grams, and sisters Janet Roalson and Audrey Maurer.
Tom grew up on a farm in St. Clair, Minnesota. He graduated from Morehead State University, where he double majored in business and accounting and met his wife, Pat. They went on to live in 15 states before settling down in Wind Lake to raise their four kids. There, he was a CPA for the Department of Energy, and later for the Department of Labor. He was also an active volunteer in 4-H, Jaycees and St. Clare Catholic Church.
Tom was proud of the family he and Pat created. Family gatherings brought him great joy. He was fascinated, and,at times, bewildered, by his grandchildren. He loved to pass out the gifts on Christmas morning, brave the weather for Milwaukee's St. Patrick's Day Parade, and gather for an annual Brewer game and tailgate to celebrate his birthday in July. He was a man of few words, but he enjoyed listening to the stories and laughter.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal.
