Thomas Michael Jankowski, age 78, born on April 16, 1945, and passed on September 12, 2023, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Attended Boys Tech of Milwaukee, Class of 1963. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on August 6, 1965, where he was stationed in Anchorage, AK, as an In-flight Refueling Specialist during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on July 11, 1969. He married Sandra Dunn on March 22, 1975, they were happily together until her death on April 3, 2008.
Tom had many interests, bowling, fishing, Nascar, horseshoes and Corvettes, as he had four. He was the president of the Muskego Corvette Club. He was also the owner of Quality Carpets Inc.
Survived by his daughter Kristina Hintz, and grandsons Ryan and Owen. Proud "papa" of his dog Bubba. Beloved brother-in-law to Sharron and Veryn Coyhis, Judy Dunn, Bill Bird and Diane Jankowski.
Also survived by his special friend Judy Sherman, son-in-law Michael Hintz and previous wife Dianna Bittner; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth, wife Sandra, brother John, brother-in-law Jimmy Dunn and sister-in-law Kathy Bird.
Special thanks to Aurora Home Hospice Care for the special care given to Tom while he fought his cancer. And special thank you to Zilber Hospice Center for giving Tom the comfort and peace while transitioning into his end-of-life journey.
Funeral Services for Tom will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Hartson Funeral Home, 11111 W. Janesville Road, Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Military Honors will be accorded following the funeral service. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
Burial will take place privately.
