Thomas "Tom or TJ" William JanuszBorn to Eternal Life on October 15, 2018 at the age of 59, after a short battle with lung cancer. Tom was born in Milwaukee on September 8th, 1959 to the late Robert and Janet (nee Hand) Janusz. He was a 1977 graduate of Hamilton High School and retired from the City of Milwaukee in 2012. Tom was an avid sports fan, deer hunter and fisherman, a terrific card player (especially sheepshead), and an outstanding bowler. He also spent many hours at the AA Pass It On Club where he listened the messages of various speakers, played cards, and had the support of friends that shared his battle with alcoholism. Tom is survived by his sister Katie (Jeff), brother Randy (Jean), his nieces Nina Kress (his God daughter) and Deone Parnell (Greg), nephews Ian Kress and Don (Lynn) Janusz, cousins and many dear friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Abby Haven where Tom lived the past five years, especially Amy and Karen who played cribbage with him and helped him enjoy these past few years. The family would also like to thank the staff at St. Luke's Oncology Unit in the Garden Tower (Nurse Courtney) who took such good care of him. Visitation Friday, Oct. 26th, 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM, St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners. Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM.
