Thomas "Tom" Frank Karczewski, age 88, died of heart failure on Monday, August 26, 2019 at his home in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Tom is survived by his wife, Joan (Nee Hacka), with whom he enjoyed nearly 65 happy years of marriage; his children Susan (Rick) Catrini, Peter, Sandra (Rich) Koslowski, Paul, Ann (Pete) Valentine; his very much-loved granddaughter Stella Rose Koslowski. He is also survived by his sisters Carol Stonina and Barbara Napierala; sister-in-law Barbara Karczewski; special aunt Marge Przybyla; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Tom is preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Gonzalez and her husband Joseph; his brothers Walter Jr. and his wife Patricia, Ralph and his wife Dolores, William and Patrick Karczewski. He was also preceded in death by brothers-in-law Edward Stonina and Thomas Napierala,

Tom was born on August 8, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents Walter and Helen (Kujawa). Tom was a proud Marine veteran who served as Sergeant in the Korean War, and a devoted husband and father who worked several years in the printing industry. He had a passion for history and puzzles and dedicated much of his spare time to tending to his beautiful yard and flowers. Tom will be remembered by family and friends as a hard-working and dedicated man who had a flare for story-telling.

Visitation 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM, Wednesday, September 4th, St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners. Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Father John Cella will officiate. A reception will follow at Meyer's Restaurant and Bar located 4260 S. 76th Street, Greenfield, Wisconsin 53220. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tom's life.

A private inurnment followed by full military honors will be held Friday, September 6, 2019 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
