Father Thomas A. Trepanier, M.S. (80)
Opened his arms and his heart to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the last time and found eternal peace on July 14, 2025, succumbing to the cancerous ravages of the Agent Orange Defoliant he contracted in the Army in Vietnam.
Loving son of the late Deacon Chester and Elizabeth Moczydlowski. Brother of Susan (the late Mike) Trepanier, "Uncle Tom" to Jodi, Becki, Jenelle and the late Jamie Trepanier. Further survived by great-nephews, R.J., Ryan and Dalton and a great-niece Jena. "Grampa Tom" to Robert and Ashley, Noah and Hannah. Best friend of Juan Ramirez, Laurin Wenig, Fr. Angel, Mark Tushaus, Deb De Troye, Fr. Len, Chris Kowalski, Elaine and Brenda Schoen along with extended family, friends and the Christian Community.
Fr. Tom served a year in Vietnam as an Infantry Sergeant in the Army, 28 years of public ministry as a Roman Catholic Priest and the rest of his life in private ministry. He had a deep affection for the poor and marginalized people of the world.
At his request, following cremation, his family celebrated a private Resurrection Wake Service based on love, faith and hope in the Resurrection at the Hartson Funeral Home on Janesville Road.
Fr. Tom's cremains will be interred privately at the VA Cemetery at Union Grove with his parents.
Special thanks to all the delightful people who filled his life with countless blessings and gave it great meaning. Sincere thanks to the wonderful cancer team and the dedicated, compassionate nurses at the hospitals and Vitas Hospice who cared for him for the 12 years of his numerous cancer treatments.
May he rest in the peace of Jesus Christ that he preached faithfully for so many years of his ministry in the Church and in his life.
