Thomas D. Weber, 85, of Waterford, WI passed away on October 6, 2021, at St. Luke's Medical Center surrounded by family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents George and Minnie (Schopf) Weber. He is survived by his sons Jeff (Martha), Kraig and Scott; grandchildren Mark (Janine) Weber and Kayden Lambert-Weber.
Tom was a very hard worker who began his career as a mechanic with the Milwaukee Journal. His desire to own his own business led him to become a milk distributor for many years. The past 40 years he had his own fastener and supply business and continued to sell fasteners until his recent health decline.
Tom received a heart transplant in June of 2000. Because of that generous gift of life from the donor family, Tom was able to enjoy an independent life. Tom cherished the heart he received and took very good care of this extraordinary gift.
The family would like to thank the talented and caring medical professionals at St. Luke's for the care they provided to Tom during these past 21 years and a special thank you to the ICU team on the 7th floor for the compassionate care shown to Tom and the family this past week. The family would also like to thank his wonderful neighbors that kept an eye on Tom and often helped him in times of need, especially Vicki, Jeff and Tim. We are forever grateful.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made at donatelife.net.
