IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia M
Bahringer
January 17, 1939 – November 24, 2025
Virginia M Bahringer (nee Marschner), of Hales Corners, WI, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Virginia was born on January 17, 1939 in Manchester, IA to Ferdinand and Ina (nee Winsor) Marschner. Her family moved to Wisconsin in her early years, where she would spend the rest of her adult life. She met the love of her life, George Bahringer, in 1954, and the two were married in 1957. They were the most wonderful parents to five children. Virginia stayed by George’s side until his passing in 2008.
Her family was her life- her children remember her as the sweetest mom you will ever know. She was loving, caring, and never judged. She was someone you could always go to, she was a great listener. She loved her kids and grandkids to the end of this earth.
In her free time she could be found reading, listening to music, and watching the Packers. She was independent up until she passed. She loved to go on gambling trips and weekend trips with the girls.
Virginia is survived by her children Roxanne (Bill) Gettelman, Dale (Esther) Bahringer, Curtis (Diane) Bahringer, Debbie (Brian) Brook, and Kenneth (Ann-Michelle) Bahringer; and her grandchildren Brian (Kristin) Gettelman, Bobbi Jo Brook, Crystal (Shawn) Wilkerson, Amy (Steve) Kreiter, Cory (Becky) Brook, and Deven Bahringer. She will be remembered by 13 great-grandchildren- Alexis, Drake, Kaylee, Landon, Everett, Tessa, Faith, Jaysen, Justin, Dustin, Blake, Nikia, and Alyssa; and one great-great-grandchild Rose. Further survived by her sister Ethel (the late Paul) Cotts and sister-in-law Helen Marschner. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, George Bahringer, her parents Ferd and Ina, and her brother Carl Marschner.
A memorial service for Viginia will be held at Hartson Funeral Home (11111 W. Janesville Rd., Hales Corners WI, 53130) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM.
Special thanks to the staff at Vitas Hospice for the compassion they gave to Virginia in her final days. In lieu of flowers, please keep Virginia’s family in your prayers.
