WEST ALLIS - Age 83. Passed away May 13, 2024.

Loving husband of Carol for 58 years. Beloved father of Sheryl (Tom) Stefaniak, MD and Kevin (Carolyn) Haass, JD. Proud Papa of Elyse, Hannah & Andrew Stefaniak and proud Grandpa of Clara & Henry Haass. Dear brother-in-law of Nancy Wright and Michael Miller (Barbara Kiely Miller). Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gerhard & Clara Haass and his sister, Donna Carlson.

Wayne graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee and then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Lakeland University, Sheboygan, WI, in business and accounting. Worked at Allis Chalmers in West Allis. After many years working as a corporate tax accountant, Wayne retired from Metso Minerals. He served his country in the United States Army Reserves. For many years he was an adult leader with Boy Scout Troop 16 in West Allis. Wayne was a long time treasurer at Zion UCC in West Allis. He volunteered for many years at the Despensa dela Paz Food Pantry, which means Pantry of Peace. Wayne loved to play Sheepshead, golf, dart ball, and enjoyed camping and watching all sports on TV.

Visitation at Emanuel Church UCC, 10627 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners, WI 53130 on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Funeral Service 1:30 pm. Private interment. If desired, memorials to Emanuel Church UCC in Hales Corners appreciated.
