Gorder, Wesley J., age 86, born to eternal life June 13, 2013. Loving husband of 65 years of Betty Jean (nee Higgins), dear father of Daniel (Sandra), Deborah (Peter) Niesen, and Rebecca (Jerome) Campbell; preceded in death by a son, James. Grandfather to: Eric (Tanya) Gorder, Erin (Craig) Stampfl, David (Dionne) Niesen, James (Kelly) Niesen, Elizabeth (Ryan) Adomavich, Samuel (Kristin) Arnold, Gregory (Jennifer) Arnold. Great Grandfather to: Kamryn, Emma, Tyler, Sammy Jo, Samantha, Mackenzie, Alex, Leah, Madelyn and Johanna. Survived by many other relatives and friends. Wes was an extremely optimistic individual. When you would ask him how he was, it was always "Fantastic; Bordering on Awesome; Encroaching on Incredible!" The past nine months, he suffered physically. Yet, even in his final days, he always gave the 'thumbs up' when asked how he was doing. He never had an unkind word for anyone. He was enthusiastic, sincere and treated everyone with the respect each person deserves. He ran his business the same way; he was ethical, considerate, generous and fair to those who worked for him. Wes' love for people was genuine. He will be greatly missed. His close friends will recall the many trips they took together; some places far away, some not so far. He will always be remembered for asking women he encountered if they wanted a 'kiss' ... then he gave them a Hershey kiss. The ROMEO's will remember their Friday afternoon lunches and giving the waitresses the #1 bill rings he made for them. His family will remember all the vacations they enjoyed as a group; the dinners out for special holidays; all the wonderful family events-graduations, marriages, births (not always in that order); and the relaxed gatherings at home. There will forever remain an emptiness in their hearts.
